HAVE WE JUST MET (AGAIN)
    by Ted Guhl

    Being so close
to the end of this drama,
(almost ready to return costume and props and ride that escalator to...)
I am practicing my wink; not quite prepared to applaud.
Still too involved in the denouement.

    I have to admit,
(as much as I hope a previous bound of spirit existed,)
it"feels" probable, dear Glint-of-Love's-light, that there might well have been with you and I
an agreement free of duality and unencumbered.
Yet, I cannot know until final curtain what exactly it was
or if we are getting it right.

Thus (until this act of growing closer closes)
the only contract I am able to honor, face to face or flesh to flesh,
is one of intention (rather than obligation) to serve an agreement
that together uplifts your performance and mine
    or not at all.
